Get Naked (untied) DSL / Cable Modem : Quest

 Quest has quietly untied their DSL lines from a phone account.
This is great news if you want to switch to VOIP or a cell phone 
as a main phone line.  This means that you don't have to pay for 
a standard home phone connection, even if you want a high speed
DSL line.   Cable modems are also usually tied to traditional 
cable. Why is it that you have to buy another service just to get
High speed internet.

 Now You don't 

 Quest www.quest.com is now offering 
in some states the ability to have a DSL only home phone line.  There
DSL is also cheaper than a standard Cable modem, costing only about $33/month. 

 If your phone or cable company doesn't allow you to untie your high speed 
internet connection, complain!   The more of us that complain, the better.
