New Unpatched Windows XP Exploint in the wild

There is a new hole in Windows that's been discovered, and is currently used by thousands of websites to install bad software onto your computer. It can NOT be patched currently by any update on the Microsoft Website. The problem is in the WMF file handling on Windows. To disable the display of these images, and to protect your computer, you can do the following:

1. Click on the Start button on the taskbar. 2. Click on Run... 3. Type "regsvr32 /u shimgvw.dll" to disable. 4. Click ok when the change dialog appears.

More information on this hole are here: http://blogs.washingtonpost.com/securityfix/2005/12/exploit_release.html
